How to take care of different skin types

Have you ever wondered what your skin type is?

There are four skin types, and you should know under which one your skin falls to be able to better take care of it. Read on and find out what your skin type is!

  • Normal skin: if you have a normal skin you are very lucky. The skin would be beautiful and thick, matures beautifully, and doesn’t age prematurely. It has fewer problems, and caring for it is easy. All it needs is to be cleaned thoroughly with a daily facial cleanser such as Deep Clean Facial Cleanser, and a moisturizer to keep it protected and soft.
  • Dry skin. Dry skin produces less oil and lacks vitality. It usually has prominent lines around the eyes and mouth. This type of skin is very exposed to dryness and vulnerable against changes in weather. That’s why people with dry skin should drink plenty of water, and sometimes take vitamins if required. You can use Deep Clean invigorating wash on a daily basis to keep it energized. It is also important to use a moisturizing cream especially designed for dry and dull skin, in the morning and night, to keep it fresh and give it the level of hydration it needs.
  • Oily/acne prone skin. This type of skin has an excess of oil secretion, and is usually shiny, sweaty and more prone to suffer from redness, pimples, blackheads, open pores. Oily skin needs a special oil-free facial wash in the morning and night. That’s why Neutrogena offers you Oil-Free Acne Wash Facial Cleanser that removes acne and helps preventing future breakouts. It is also available with grapefruit for a better scent and freshness. People with oily skin need to be well protected from sunlight; Neutrogena helps you do just that with Ultra Sheer sunscreen. It is gentle on the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy layer.
  • Combination skin. This type falls within the regular skin type but oily on the T zone. This skin type needs to be well protected from sunlight as it is oilier than other skin types and sensitive to sun damage. It requires a gentle wash to clean the pores deeply. If you have mixed skin, try Visibly Clear in the morning and night and Ultra Sheer sunscreen.

Remember, testing your skin at the dermatologist’s is necessary to determine your skin type for sure and know which products are more suitable!
